Student Career Guidance

Why You Need Help
It can be intensely difficult to work out which subjects or courses to study as a student. That old maxim, "you don't know what you don't know" is especially true in these cases.

How can students at such a young age, and with such limited experience in the world of work, be expected to make the right decisions that will inform their career direction for many years to come? Plus, career advice (if you're lucky to get any at all) often comes from well-meaning, but ultimately ill-informed sources.

How I help
I give students objective guidance on the most appropriate GCSE, A-level and Degree courses to study, and provide advice on the appropriate career avenues to explore given the student's strengths, interests, aspirations and personality.

I do this by finding out information from the student in seven specific areas:

1. Key areas of interest and motivation
2. Behaviours and ideals that will affect career and study choices
3. Personality preferences in relation to career choices
4. Enjoyment & dislikes of specific subjects along with detailed reasoning
5. Hobby and leisure interests including their reasons for participation
6. Current study and career aspirations
7. Analysis of personal strengths and weaknesses

With all the above information, it is then possible to make an informed selection of the focus areas for ideal study and your likely areas of career interest.

I work face to face with clients from my offices in North Suffolk, and my prices start from just £40.
